Digital Jinx

Jinx #1 is now available for download!

You can get your digital copy from comiXology if you use a web browser, or via iTunes for your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. I know of three apps offering the series right now: the main comiXology app, their specialized Comics4Kids app, and of course the Archie Comics app. The choice is yours!

Jinx #1 re-introduces the classic Li'l Jinx character re-imagined as a high school freshman written by yours truly with pencils by Rick Burchett and inks by Terry Austin. (I still can't believe I share a credit box with these legends!) The story runs for four issues with the second issue due out in June.

Free Comic Book Download

This year's Free Comic Book Day was another roaring success! I spent the morning at my local shop Comic Book Addiction where there was a fun street festival-like atmosphere with balloons, face-painting, costumes, BBQ, and lots of families with kids. I signed and I probably gave out close to 100 copies of the Avatar/Star Wars and Rated Free for Everyone comics. And speaking of festivals, I then spent the rest of the day at TCAF giving out even more free comics (definitely over 100 copies there). Thanks to everyone who came to see me at these events!

If you didn't get a chance to pick up the Dark Horse FCBD comics at your local shop, don't worry! You can get them from Dark Horse Digital for a limited time.

Free Comic Book Day is this Saturday!

As I've mentioned before, I'm in two FCBD comics this year: "Rated Free for Everyone" published by Oni Press features the first look at "Power Lunch" by me and Dean Trippe; The Avatar/Star Wars flip book from Dark Horse includes an Avatar story by me and Gurihiru.

I'll be signing at Comic Book Addiction in Whitby, Ontario from 10 AM until noon. Then I'll be at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival from about 1 PM until the end of the show.
