Dynamic Reviews

Here's what some online reviewers have to say about Family Dynamic #1:

The story in this issue balances action with information, heroic deeds with insightful interludes. It reads like a classic Marvel comic in pacing, but carries the sensibilities of a DC comic in the shared universe. Torres and Levins have given this new universe strong legs to stand on and major potential to strive to fulfill. I only hope that Torres and Levins find a means to continue examining these characters once DC's commitment to the first three issues plays out. - Doug Zawisza, Comic Book Resources.

Torres develops interesting characters and an interesting world, making the familiar tropes of the superhero genre feel fresh, new and interesting. Tim Levins, a longtime collaborator with Torres on The Copybook Tales and Siren, has always been good, but with Family Dynamic, he’s stepped his work up a notch, and it has a look reminiscent of some of the best of the late, great Mike Wieringo. This is a remarkably fun and fresh book… too bad it’s only going to be three issues. - Randy Lander, Comic Pants.

J. Torres and DC Comics bring to life The Family Dynamic. This is a brand new series great for all ages. Set in Storm City, Canada, readers get a detailed introduction to who this new family is and a glimpse at the villains and other heroes of the city. For fans of Marvel’s Fantastic Four and Power Pack or Disney’s W.I.T.C.H., this new series will tickle your senses and undoubtedly get you hooked on a new comic. - Beth Delaney, Dynamic Forces.
