TEEN TITANS... GAP!

I was at the mall last week and as I walked past Gap Kids, I noticed one of the mannequins holding a Teen Titans Go comic! I took a second look and saw that there were Johnny DC comics throughout the window display. Most were TTG, but they also had an issue of Looney Tuness, Batman Strikes, and even Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century #1...

I wondered how the window dresser ended up choosing JDC books for the display, so I asked one of the salespeople and he told me it was because The Gap is developing a line of kids clothes using DC characters. I didn't think to ask him if they're using the same comics as props across North America, but I'm curious about that now. So, let me know if you spot anything in your neck of the woods!

That's so cool! But...whaaaat? They're making a DC line for kids? What about adults?! XD

(And I'm really starting to wish I would've been able to check out the issue with Wildfire when I had the chance...that store mannequin sure is lucky.)

Hey JT,
I did notice the "POW!" and "WHAM" stickers in the window of my local Kids Gap week before last.
Darn...little kids are so, so lucky. You should pick up some stuff for little Sandie! That would be the coolest! (Sorry if that was, too personal...)

Hate to go off subject here, but I was wondering if you had any sugjetions for a comic book writer to be.
My friend has found a publisher, but would like to know the ins and outs of writing a comic.
Any help you could give would be very...helpful. Thank.

Sorry, but it's not easy giving advice "online," and I could spend all day discussing the "ins and outs" of comic book writing. The best advice I could give your friend is to read, read, read (including books on scriptwriting - comic book and otherwise) as well as write, write, write (a lot of it is simply learning from experience). Their publisher/editor should be a good resource as well. Google "comic book writing (or scripting)" and you'll find some handy websites too...
